🔥🔥🔥
I need another DAW to make this work? Where's the tutorial on how to make that work?
Hi Alex! The workflow in this tutorial is all done within Ace Studio, which you can download for both Windows and Mac :)
Great tutorial thanks. Can you help? I'm not getting the option to convert to midi when I right click....?
The right-click menu updates the top options based on your recent editing choices, so it won't necessarily appear at the top, but is an option further down the menu under 'Convert' (Convert>Convert to MIDI Region). Alternatively you can find this function from the Edit Menu within the arrange view. With your drummer region highlighted choose: Edit>Convert>To MIDI Region. Hope that helps!
Man, I had no idea Miles Jupp was in DC Breaks lol 😂 Amazing video though in fairness 👌🏼
Ai really needs to just F off
whos this guy
This is ELPHNT! He's an Ableton Certified Trainer - he really knows his stuff!
I wish you would have shown the quality of each stem so we could hear how well it separated each instrument.
Hi Steven. Thanks for the feedback! We'll keep this in mind for future tutorials. Hope you found the rest of this tutorial useful. The platform has a free trial period, so if you haven't already, download it and give it a go!
Not even 10min in - it blows my mind what Ableton can do - with a couple of clicks.
It's pretty amazing, isn't it! Glad you found this video useful!
37:50 YESS
🙌🙌🙌
I’m very interested in this subject. I’ve seen people try to recreate it but it’s never the same.
Yeah it is such a moment in time, isn't it? I think we did a pretty good job, though 😉
👍
🙌
Great breaks❤
🔥🔥🔥
So now you can use MIDI as the input in real-time
this is pure gold and incredible - so much knowledge, wisdom and creativity ! thanks for sharing your awesomness !
Glad you enjoyed it!
The unchained tool doesn't exist anymore.
01:08:41 Live band click track etc
01:03:05 Actually the jomox alpha base can do that- you can change the "drum kit", but keep the same trigs in place
1:45 need to hear more about this. 👀
Yeah it seems like a pretty crazy feature, doesn't it!
awesome stuff! thank you!
So glad you enjoyed this one!
might have been nice if you recorded the audio directly no?
Thanks for the feedback. We'll certainly keep that in mind for similar guest lectures in the future. I hope you enjoyed the video.
I want to give new lyrics to an existing public domain melody but don't know how to do it in Suno. I guess I would have to work from MIDI. Could anyone point me towards more detailed tutorials on that? TIA
Amazing talent and great dude.
Couldn't agree more!
Briliant Tutorial
Really glad you found this useful!
Tom, you are a good teacher!
He's great, isn't he!?
Copying and pasting lyrics into a MIDI line doesn't work that well. Also, when you have a word spread over several notes, the program has trouble figuring out what to do. So when you try and manually type in the word (shoes#1 shoes#2), it renders it as "shoes, shoes". I wish there was a dedicated community on this software.
super informative thanks! 🧡
Glad it was helpful!
Frustrating to hear him say his favorite is the black yet Isn’t gonna make a black super 8? But show a black super 8 at superbooth? So weird. If anyone has seen it, it really is a gunmetal gray and looks really nice it makes it feel even more premium.
I think they may sell a black super 8 in the future. They had a white super 6 in a superbooth in the past and then he said its just a production model, not for sale. Now they sell white super 6’s. You can e-mail them to check if they will sell the black super 8👌
Should I use this/ will I use this... yes, definitely. Not for a lead vocal but interested in creating female backing vocals and/ or double track my vocals.
Glad you found this useful!
Fantastic stuff
🙌🙌🙌
all this explaining and no demonstration of what you're talking about. very hard to relate
Such a talented composer, I'm not surprised JMJ asked her to play live at Starmus 🥰 watch this space 🤩
She really is, isn't she!?
0:32 So your looking for virtue signalling sjws who care more about another country than theirs…..
Tim Blake Nelson should star his biopic
thanx for the video! can I use this for LIVE SINGING turn into an instrument (sax, violin...)
awesome thank you!!!
Glad you enjoyed this!
This is great thank you so much. Can you do a video on how to arrange sounds like these? THEN, a video on how to do the final process / mastering stage? I find arranging these kinds of sounds so that they dont sound cheap or cheesy difficult. I also find that these types of sounds can drown out my drums a lot of the time.. THANK YOU
Check out this three part series with DC Breaks where he creates a Dancefloor DnB tune from scratch - starting with just one sine wave! These videos include sound design processes as well as arrangement and touches on the beginning of the mixing and mastering stage. George the GOAT 🐐 UDO are doing more for the synth industry than anyone else, refreshing take on the approach to modern synthesis! These will be future classics
He's great, isn't he!? It was brilliant having the team at our Bristol campus
You could just fix those voices in the stem before adding it to Roex...
I was fortunate enough to watch her playing so many instruments in the front row at the Starmus concert in Bratislava in front of 100 000 people. She is an amazing, versatile talent, great composer and performer. It's so hard to become successful as a young musician nowadays, it's inspiring some actually making big success.
This sounds like an amazing show!
Great video tutorial! Thanks.
Glad you found it useful!
Adiescar Chase 🎹🎻🎸👏💪👍 and to J.M.Jarre 🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰🇸🇰
She's great, isn't she? We were so lucky to have her down to speak to our students!
Loved her work with Jean Michel Jarre recently
Us too!
talented woman! ua-cam.com/video/GzjG95rB96Q/v-deo.html
I am starting to record every interesting sound with my iPhone from this day)))
It's something we tell our students to do all the time!
Nice work...
Thanks 🙌
👍👋🏻
🙌
Just a quick note, I spent ages trying to figure out why the splitting feature mentioned @3:24 wasn't working for me. In case anyone else gets stuck here I thought I'd share what I found out. Firstly in Windows it's ctrl-e not alt-e also for some reason you have to hit and hold the 'e' before you hit the ctrl, to activate the split feature, control acts as a toggle to go between normal mode and dragging mode.
Thanks for this, Dan!
this seems dope, I'm digging into it today, thx DC!
Let us know how you get on!
I don't really understand why you would want to automate that process, as long as it's not your job, and you don't hate your job xD I'd rather want to see better tools to help me craft or prepare a tracklist / mix in advance, maybe using AI....
Yeah, it's a live debate isn't it. We're not sayinng this is necessarily a good thing, but it might be where things are going for some pre-recorded DJ sets and radio DJs...
